I first visited Nepal in the spring of 1989 on a climbing expedition to Ama Dablam. Afterwards, I trekked up to Everest Basecamp to stay with friends. For that trip, I carried my 35mm system and a 4x5" field camera.

In the spring of 2000, I returned with a four-man team to attempt an unclimbed peak just a short distance away but one valley to the east. This was also followed by a trek to Everest Basecamp to see friends. In addition to my 35mm system, I brought my medium format system and a 35mm panorama camera.

Nepal is a wonderful country and I hope to return soon!
