Description: The Blue Lagoon. A geothermal spa about 40 minutes from Reykjavik. The warm water (98 - 102°F) rises from 6000 feet below and gets its color from minerals (it's 2/3 seawater and 1/3 fresh), bluegreen algae, and white silica mud.
